i have also been working on my entry for everyday moments this month and while i didnt think i would be albe to use the onsert i was surprised and i ended up really happy with this

at the moment im right into the scrapbookers approach to card making with all my scraps im getting quite the collectios going which will be great when there are birthdays to deal with int he coming weeks.

OUR FIRST NEWSLETTER - september

We are up and going finally. September marks the start of this new adventure for me into the world of scrapbooking as a business instead of just a hobby. A bit about me ive been scrapbooking for nearly 6 years and my main subjects are my children, family and sometimes myself. I have been teaching classes in stores and on line during 2005/2006 and have been a member of the scrappit design team during that time also. I have been published in for keeps and scrapbook creations. But thats enough about me.

Through scrapanalia I will now be able to offer scrapbooking classes in your home or mine. And i kick off the month and start my little adventure with a crop in brisbane where i will have scrapbooking supplies for sale.

We will be offering classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced scrappers so that workshops and classes suit everyone.

Currently I have in stock supplies from the basic grey and chatterbox 2006 release of papers, collections chipboard, heidi swapp chipboard and paints, maya road ribbons, a large collection of pattern papers and bazzil cardstock colours, versa color inks and much more.

If you live locally (brisbane)and would like to host a workshop the hostess does recieve some incentives like the hosted workshop and the next for free plus 10% of the total sales for the workshop in supplies once the total is more than $100.

As a celebration for the start of my business at the end of september I will be hosting a free crop night in my home for new customers. You will have the chance to simply scrap, socialize, met new people from our local area and enjoy being able to purchase supplies during the night. As well as having me on hand to answer questions, do demonstrations and lead in a small make and take. On the night you may also like to be challenged by the sketch comp with a small prize pack of scrapanalia products. Invitations will be sent out soon.

Until next month when we will take a closer look at some of the classes on offer enjoy your scrapping

new basic grey

is so so YUMMMMMMY
esp if u have a baby girl in the house hehehe
it amazes me just how many photos i have to scrap and yet i just had to print out this photo of emily and get it done above all else...i guess she has about 20 scrapbooks to catch up to lilly...hehe u know people asked me if i would scrap them the same so that in years to come they dont feel left out of the scrapbooking fun...i said of course!!...i dont think they believed me but at the moment i just cant help myself..those newborn photos are just so cute!!!!
anyway...i love how the delicate edges occured with the tiny hole punch it took me ages but the overall look i just love not often i would say that about my pages. Maybe its the content hehe...a mothers eyes...lucky we get them because people always say how most babies look the same unless they r your own.

emily one week old

well how fast one week goes!!!
today my baby girl was one week old...this time last week i was in recovery watching my baby suck her fist and not being able to get at her to attach her for a first feed. They would not take her out of the crib...but oh well...in was only 40 minutes later that she got what she wanted when we were all back up on the ward

again

try the photo again...not sure what happened there

emily deborah is here

just a few days earlier than expected my beautiful daughter made her entrance into the world, so not like we expected her to but she is safe and here. I went into hospital on tuesday last week with some high blood pressure that played around for a few days on thursday i was induced which failed and on friday i had a c section delivery which was an extremely strange experience. She and I are both doing very well and got home yesterday just 3 days later...: ) here is a quick pic of my lovely little girl (9 pound 6 hehe but she still looks so small) this is lilly meeting her baby sister for the first time on saturday

beginners layout

here is the layout i will be using as the beginners class. It would be my initial class for groups that have not ever scrapped before. It covers the basics such as cropping photos, matting, cutting papers and well as a little bit of embellishing using rubons, inking, punches and some ribbons...along with the layout in everyone of my classes there will be a bonus card to make out of the scraps so that there is less waste and then just when u need a card you will have one without need to get out your things and think about it. In this initial class we will also talk about what is in a basic scrap kit which will keep you scrapping in your own time. Im also working on some ideas for advanced and middle of the road scrappers who dont really need a beginners class so keep watching this space as i will upload here when they are ready.

class ideas

just after my baby is born i will be starting up a small business to run classes in your home...i mentioned it on my blog some time ago...i will be a scrapanalia consultant...basically i will run a class for between 10 to 15 dollars depending on the class in your home and have some stock for you to pick from for your layout and other stock for sale so you can embellish your layout and stock up your own supplies....at the moment i am working on a small range of classes i could offer at first...from a just starting out class to more advantanced classes...attached is a layout i have done using lots of different things but am thinking it might make a good class thats beyond basics but not much and about using different things on a layout...like fabric?? anyway here is my sample for the class. I guess the idea is that the classes offered will be more like the classes you get to do in your local scrapbooking store but in the comfort of your home which is great if you have children that you need to care for or friends with that problem. I know i will have to bring my new daughter for quite some time so she can be fed.

if your local to the north brisbane area (i would travel to the south side if requested) and think you may be interested in hosting a class in your home with your crop group...or would like me to come to any crop and have a small store please email me...at djon7593@bigpond.net.au I will be using my blog to display all the class samples and ideas i come up with along the way. Im also happy to taylor samples to the needs of your group or class. Once we are up and running i will send out monthly newsletters which i will also post on here and have crops in my home monthly just to keep our scrapping going and met new people which is my favourite part of this wonderful craft.

Sunday, July 23, 2006

5 weeks now and counting... ;)
just to keep u all up to date
my wonderful friend had a blessing way for the upcoming birth and labour which was just a lovely then to go through...i have a beautiful braclet to wear with a bead from each of them to help me through and we were joined by red ribbon which i have turned into a tassel sort of that i can have with me in labour ward so that i have their energy in the room...one of my friends sang to me i have never been sung to so that was extra special
thankyou girls i couldnt ask for better friends than u all

tonights creation

after teaching a class today and coming home with some new goodies i was finding myself looking forward to creating something...its not out there i think im starting to experiment with a style change at the moment...and i got it done in less than an hour...it was inspired by the saturday scrappit sketch...thanks girls

lilly is going to be just like dad i can see it now...she loves cooking and lucky for her that dan loves cooking withher cause i cant stand the mess!!...this is all before we moved she hasnt had the chance here but she loves pancakes and eggs and can even crack the egg and put it in the bowl!

masters

well again i have been taken away from updating my blog heheh
im hopeless at this
but i have been working day and night to finish my masters entry...only posted it yesterday...it was due today...had to pay extra so that it would be there by todays close of business...oooops...i no not intend to do that again...so even thou its not due to september i think i might work on my elite team layouts for forkeeps sooner hehehe....i do have a layout to share soon...it just needs a title...: )
house is nearly set up...just a few boxes to go...baby things getting sorted out and washed as it all gets closer...only just over 6 weeks now!!!

Wednesday, July 05, 2006

i have been busy creating in my new house too...havent been able to organise myself to want to scrap in the last few weeks i think because everything was put away...the only things i have done are things that i have had to do but the other night i got these 2 done in record time!!

paint storage

well during my unpacking i decided that i didnt want to use my wire cubes as paper storage anymore (hated them) and i treated myself to some real paper racks but then i wondered about what to do with my wire cubes...well i have heaps but i did managed to use 2 of the wire bits as storage for my making memories paints...i saw this on an american website...i think it was ck but i cant quite be sure...if u have these cubes and hate them this is a fantastic way to use them and its oh so easy....you just need two wire sides, and two or three cotton reels or spacers of some descriptions (i stole my cotton reels from my daughters threading i know i know bad mother lol) tie some ribbon to the back wire slip it throught the cotton reel and then add the front wire and tie in double knots...DONE...i have it hooked up on my wall with those medium 3m removal hooks that you can get at coles...i love this idea as it has gotten my paints up off the floor and away from small hands that so like to put paint everywhere!!

here is a layout that i started at one friday crop and finished at another 2 weeks later which is unusual for me to say the least...love the photos and im pretty happy with the lo.

bathroom feature

well i saw my bathroom feature and the start of our tiling from afar today (no one on site so i was stuck looking in the windows) my feature tile in the bathroom is on a wall of the shower and it looks fantastic im so happy with it...and after all the problems our floor tiles are looking pretty good too, but i have only seen them in the laundry as only the wet areas have been done so far. (after all the fuss thankgod i like them and think they look good)

blank canvas

the blank canvas of my scrap room
it sits at the end of our main living area so i will be close to the kids and no tucked away out of sight which will be nice...has a big double door entry anda view of the back yard...cant wait until im scrapping and talking with you all in there

my kitchen

well here it is
i know some of you have been stalking me to see this...: ) (hi chrissy)
and i finally got a picture...its just not so easy to get in there atm
tilers started today and the painters will start on monday i cant believe that it is almost finished!!...also add the look of the feature tiles in the bathroom...should see them finished on saturday...yah
had a minor problem with the floor tiles today even thou we picked from what we were told was the builders range for these they need to be laided differently and are going to cost us another $200 dollars!! gotta love tradies wish they told u these things but to be fair its the tile places fault...but after a stressed day of what will we do...we r just going to pay its easier and i just want my house now

a scrappit saturday night sketch

this is from the sketch on scrappit on saturday night this week. i also uploaded the sketch it was a fun one...have a go
